VersiClass ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our class management platform for fitness professionals.

Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect information you provide directly:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password
• Profile Information: Phone number (optional), timezone
• Trainer-specific Information: Business name, bio, website, and social media handles (optional)

Payment Information

We use Stripe to process payments. When you make a payment or receive payouts:

• Client payments: Credit card information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
• Trainer payouts: Bank account information for receiving payments is collected and managed through Stripe Connect. We store only reference IDs, not actual bank details.
• Transaction records: We maintain records of payment amounts, dates, and status for accounting and service purposes.

Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about how you use our service:

• Class registrations and attendance records
• Credit package purchases and usage
• Trainer settings and preferences (business hours, cancellation policies)
• Error logs and diagnostic information for troubleshooting

Advertising Attribution

When you arrive at VersiClass from an advertisement, we capture the click identifier and campaign parameters from the URL (e.g., Google click ID, Reddit click ID, UTM parameters). This data is stored in a cookie and saved to your profile at signup to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.

SMS/Text Message Communications

If you provide a phone number and consent to receive SMS notifications, we collect:

• Phone Number: Used solely for sending class-related notifications
• SMS Preferences: Your preference to receive or not receive text messages

How we use SMS: We send text messages only for class-related notifications including waitlist promotions, class reminders, and class cancellation notices. We do not share your phone number with third parties or use it for marketing purposes.

Opting out: You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message or updating your preferences in your account settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process payments and payouts between trainers and clients
• Send transactional communications (class confirmations, payment receipts, reminders)
• Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:

• Supabase: Database hosting and user authentication
• Stripe: Payment processing and payout management
• Sentry: Error tracking and application monitoring (no personal information is intentionally shared)
• Segment: Analytics and usage tracking (only when you consent)
• Twilio: SMS notification delivery
• Google Ads: Conversion measurement (we share a hashed click identifier to confirm that a signup or subscription originated from a Google ad)
• Reddit Ads: Conversion measurement (same purpose as Google Ads)

Trainer-Client Relationship

When you register for a class, your name and contact information may be shared with the trainer for class management purposes. Similarly, trainers' business information is visible to clients who book their classes.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies necessary for the operation of our service, and optional analytics with your consent.

Essential Cookies

• Authentication cookies: Session tokens to keep you logged in securely
• Attribution cookie: When you arrive from an advertisement, we store the ad click identifier and campaign parameters in a cookie (expires after 30 days) so we can attribute your signup to the correct campaign

Analytics (With Your Consent)

We use Segment to collect analytics data about how you use our service. This helps us understand usage patterns and improve VersiClass.

What we track:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Feature usage (class creation, registrations, etc.)
• Technical information (browser type, device type)

What we do NOT track:

• Your activity on other websites
• Precise location data
• Personal communications

Your choice:

• When you first visit VersiClass, you'll see a consent banner
• Analytics are only enabled if you click "Accept"
• You can withdraw consent anytime by clearing your browser's local storage
• Declining analytics does not affect your ability to use VersiClass

We use a first-party attribution cookie to measure advertising effectiveness. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or track you across other websites. No personal data is shared with third parties for their own purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

• All data is transmitted using SSL/TLS encryption

• Payment information is handled directly by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant provider
